Container Gardening: Container Herb Garden
December 24th, 2009 by Ned Marks
Container gardening is a great way to grow plants, vegetables and herbs without needing a lot of space. Herbs do especially well and can be grown right outside your kitchen door. In this video, you’ll learn how to use an old farmer’s market basket to make a great container garden. Fill it with your favorite herbs and your cooking will be full of flavor all summer long.
Which product was from Monsanto?
in my country, which is japan, nobody have own garden because not enough space. i envy american and europa people where everybody has their own garden, it must be nice surely, no?
You should NEVER use Soil Moist in containers with vegetables, herbs or ANYTHING you are going to eat. Those crystals contain NEUROTOXINS!!!
unless, of course, you want to invite people you really don’t like over for dinner……..
Not necessarily. Apparently the polymers DO break down into acrlyimide, which is a known carginogen and neurotoxin, especially in the presence of UV, but there’s no evidence to show that acrylimide is taken up by the root system- to the contrary, in fact. I guess it’s all about informed decision-making.
No, it’s not
I would just water everyday..lining the basket with sheet moss first would really help to hold in moisture, that’s what I would do.
Go play with your Ninja sword and stop complaining about America.
amazing work, dont be fooled by my username, really great selection too!
I’ve used a lot of containers for herbs over the years from baskets to porch boxes to large clay pots. I think the key, as with herb beds, is matching the plants that have the same needs and to be realistic about the size of the plants
thank you for the idea , i was wondering if there was a solution to optional fertalizer or plant foods / besides miracle grow?
i would like to know how to grow from seeds this is allready grown almost
Hey growing from seeds isn’t hard start with the right soil. Use potting soil and mix in alot of extra peat moss and vermiculite or perlite so you have a very light, almost sterile medium with few lumps. Then follow the directions on the seed packet as far as planting depth and sunlight.
